A great, effortless talent, in a sublime setting with wonderful guests. What could go wrong? Well, nothing… John Denver and Julie Andrews doing ‘Edelweiss’ is wonderful, and the playful energy throughout is a treat. One of the greats of the modern Christmas television variety specials. I just wish they’d release it on DVD…
